Hi, I'm Tracey (she/her).
Thanks for taking the time to visit my page.
I've always worked in roles that involved helping others, and I decided to train as a counsellor after experiencing my own mental health challenges and realising the value in therapy and self-compassion. I believe that human connection can be incredibly powerful and is one of the most valuable resources I can use in my work.
I have a professional qualification in Therapeutic Counselling, a degree in Psychology and a Masters in integrative psychotherapy skills. I am also in the final stages of a PhD that focuses on trauma-informed care.
My training has helped me to develop a truly integrative practice in which your unique life experiences are valued and explored in a way that suits you. I am committed to offering the best possible therapeutic experience for each of my clients. I offer a space of acceptance, compassion, empathy and collaboration.
Ultimately, the most important aspect of my practice is the relationship between myself and the clients that I work with. If you are thinking about working with me, you may find the information about my work useful. I would also encourage you to book in a free consultation session, to make sure that I am the right fit for you.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). As a member of these professional bodies, I adhere to their professional and ethical standards.
In addition to my professional qualifications, I am committed to ongoing personal and professional development. I have undergone training in various areas, to support and enhance my professional practice.
I have experience of supporting clients with various issues, including:
I offer 1-1 sessions in-person, online, or by telephone. Get in touch to find out more about my availability and how I might be able to help.
Alongside my counselling practice, I am a tutor in psychology and counselling. I have also been involved in a number of research projects. I advocate for evidence-based practice and have a special interest in trauma-informed approaches, practitioner wellbeing, posttraumatic growth, and vicarious resilience. You can read more about my research and publications here.
I have limited spaces for 1-1 tutoring and exam or coursework support with psychology and counselling students. If you are interested in my teaching or research, or if you are an organisation looking for a speaker in any of these areas, please contact me
